Anupama Joshi
Anupama Joshi is the executive director of the Blue Sky Funders Forum and was the co-founder and executive director of the National Farm to School Network. At Blue Sky, she is helping environmental educators leverage and apply a shared narrative to bring new allies and partners to our work. Rethink OutsideTM changes the prevailing narrative about the benefits of time spent outdoors—moving it from a “nice to have” to an absolute necessity, a human right. She’ll be joined by Natural Learning Iniative's Nilda Cosco, who has used the new narrative to build the case for high-quality natural learning environments for young children.

Panelists include: Megan Patterson, Head of School for the Worldmind Nature Immersion School in Denver, Colorado, which completed the first outdoor preschool and kindergarten pilot program with the State of Colorado this year; Aliza Yair, Program Specialist with the Washington State Department of Early Learning, who is overseeing Washington’s Outdoor Preschool Pilot Program; and Lynny Brown, Graduate Research Fellow at the Oregon Health and Outdoors Initiative, who is leading the development of an Equity Toolkit for Outdoor Preschools and a Policy Action Plan.
