Terms and Conditions
We’re excited to have you join us! Please read through the Presenter Agreement below. By confirming your session and registering for the conference, you are indicating that you have read and agree to the terms of the Presenter Agreement.
Deadlines: The Presenter agrees to comply with all Presentation-related deadlines, including but not limited to deadlines for handouts and presentation materials. Any handouts or Presentation materials shall be professional, non-commercial in nature, and specific to the topic of the Presentation.
Presenter Information: The Presenter agrees to provide all materials requested by Natural Start/NAAEE for use in promoting the presentation, including but not limited to, the Presenter’s biography, photograph, and prepared introductions, on or before the date specified by Natural Start/NAAEE. Presenters authorize Natural Start/NAAEE to use their name, likeness, photograph, and biographical data in connection with the use and promotion of the conference and the Presentation.
Promotional Activities: During the Presentation, Presenter agrees not to engage in any type of promotional marketing or selling of any product or service (with the exception of sponsored content, which will be clearly labeled as such). Presenter agrees not to use Natural Start/NAAEE’s conference attendance roster to contact conference attendees in any manner without the prior written consent of Natural Start/NAAEE, and under no circumstances shall Presenters contact attendees for the purpose of promoting Presenter, Presenter’s company or organization’s products, or Presenter’s company or organization.
Delivery of the Presentation: Presenter agrees to appear on the date and time specified and will present a presentation generally conforming to the description provided by the Presenter. Presenters agree to notify Natural Start/NAAEE immediately in the event that an emergency should prevent Presenters from presenting, and Presenters shall not be permitted to provide a substitute speaker in their place without the prior consent of Natural Start/NAAEE. Should Presenter fail to so perform, all of Natural Start/NAAEE’s obligations under this Agreement shall immediately end and Presenters will no longer be eligible for any consideration offered by Natural Start/NAAEE under this Agreement.
Consideration: In consideration for Presenter’s performance, Presenter will receive one complimentary full conference registration for one presenter per session. Only presenters included in the original proposal, or their designated substitutes, are eligible to receive a complimentary registration. Except for the foregoing, Presenter acknowledges and agrees that Presenter will not receive any royalties, honoraria, or other compensation from Natural Start/NAAEE in connection with the Presentation.
Recording: Presenter authorizes Natural Start/NAAEE to tape or otherwise electronically or digitally record Presenter’s Session, or Presenter will provide a recording to Natural Start/NAAEE. Presenter acknowledges and agrees that Natural Start/NAAEE will be the sole copyright owner of the recording and will stream the recording over the Web. Upon request, one complimentary copy of the Recording will be provided to Presenter and can be used by Presenter for any non-commercial educational training in which Presenter is involved. Any other use of the recording requires permission from Natural Start/NAAEE.
Licenses: Presenter hereby grants Natural Start/NAAEE a royalty-free, irrevocable, transferable license to use, reproduce, publish, modify, and distribute in print, electronically, online, or in any other format, Presenter’s presentation (including all handouts, digital slide presentations, and all written and electronic materials provided in connection with the presentation) in whole or in part with appropriate attribution to the Presenter. Presenter acknowledges and agrees that this license does not change the fact that Presenter retains copyright ownership of the presentation, and does not prohibit the Presenter from using the presentation in any way or from allowing others to use it.
Representations and Warranties: Presenters warrant and represent, to the best of Presenter’s knowledge, that (a) nothing in Presenter’s presentation or the materials provided in connection with the presentation violates any proprietary or personal rights of others, including, without limitation, any copyright, trademark and privacy rights; (b) Presenter has written permission from each person visible in any video and/or photos, and if a child, written permission from the child's parent or legal guardian to use the video and/or photos and use the likeness of such person therein; (c) the Presentation and materials are factually accurate, and contain nothing libelous, defamatory or otherwise unlawful; (d) the presentation is Presenter’s own original work; and (e) Presenter has the full authority to enter into this agreement and has obtained all necessary permissions or licenses from any individuals or organizations whose material is included or used in the Program. Speaker agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Natural Start/NAAEE, its affiliates and sublicensees, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents, from any and all breaches of these representations and warranties.
