Quintais Brincantes is a movement primarily formed by women who share similar values, philosophies, and practices in early childhood education, such as prioritization of children's learning through play, respect for the rhythms of childhood, and a deep connection with nature and Brazilian popular culture.

The collective is composed of founders, directors, coordinators, researchers, and educators from various backgrounds across Brazil. Participating programs include private and public schools, informal educational spaces, meetings in squares and parks, cultural centers, and more. Quintais Brincantes’ goal is to mobilize children’s learning processes through centering respect for nature and the healthy development of children and their communities.
